In-Mo Yang
Health is Wealth — let’s get you rich. With a Kinesiology degree from UofT and clinical training from Sutherland-Chan, I’ve dedicated my career to the science of how the body adapts, recovers, and performs. As a veteran rugby player and Olympic Weightlifting enthusiast, I don’t just study movement — I live it. I know the grit it takes to push your limits, and more importantly, I know what it takes to stay in the game.
I thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment, bridging the gap between clinical rehab and peak performance. Whether we’re collaborating with your wider care team to tackle a stubborn injury or fine-tuning your recovery so you can hit a new PR, my goal is to get you moving better and faster. From heavy hitters to daily movers, let’s get to work!
Which cases do you have special interests in treating? Why?
I love working on shoulders! They are such a mobile and complex joint that allows us to do so many daily activities as well as so many explosive activities in sports. With my own personal experiences with my own shoulder injuries, I know how frustrating and intricate the rehab process can be so I can empathize and get you back to the activities you love, pain-free!
What should I expect in your session?
Initial sessions with new patients can expect an efficient review of your situation, assessments to pinpoint the root cause, an awesome massage, and a breakdown of the game plan to get you recovered! Ongoing sessions will incorporate deep tissue massage, stretching, and cupping therapies as needed based on the game plan from your initial session.
What are you proud of in your practice?
To be able to educate my patients. I truly believe having a holistic understanding of your own rehabilitative journey is a key to recovery. Equipping patients with the WHY behind the WHAT in my treatment and creating a deeper sense of body awareness in my patients is the first step to creating meaningful lifestyle changes outside the treatment room.
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
Patients should select me as their provider because I combine a University of Toronto Kinesiology degree with years of competitive experience in rugby and weightlifting, allowing me to bridge the gap between clinical rehab and peak performance with my massage. I offer a firsthand understanding of high-level training demands that I translate into functional recovery for both dedicated athletes and daily movers. By working within a multi-disciplinary team, I ensure you receive integrated care that doesn’t just treat symptoms but optimizes your long-term “wealth” of health.
