Seyoung (Scarlett) Kim

Registered Massage Therapist

I am a Registered Massage Therapist who values connection, trust, and thoughtful care. I believe that effective treatment starts with truly listening to each patient and understanding not only their symptoms, but also their lifestyle and goals. I approach every session with intention, professionalism, and genuine care.

I chose to become an RMT because I wanted a career where I could directly help people feel better in their daily lives. I am passionate about hands-on work and was drawn to massage therapy because it combines anatomy, movement, and human connection. Seeing patients feel relief and improvement motivates me every day.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through regular workouts, running, and yoga. These practices help me maintain balance, both physically and mentally, and deepen my understanding of movement and recovery. I place a strong value on self-care and believe that caring for my own body allows me to better care for my patients. I am also committed to continuous learning and enjoy travelling, as it gives me new perspectives and helps me grow both personally and professionally.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I particularly enjoy treating neck, shoulder, and upper back conditions, as these are areas I have personally experienced discomfort in and know how much they can affect daily life. Many people struggle with pain caused by work demands, prolonged sitting, or poor postural habits, and I find it meaningful to help them regain comfort and ease in their movement.

I also enjoy treating lower back pain related to poor posture, prolonged standing, muscle imbalances, or exercise-related strain. These cases are rewarding because targeted treatment and proper education can significantly reduce pain and improve function. I value the fact that even with similar symptoms, every patient presents differently and requires an individualized approach.

What should I expect in your session?

You can expect a thorough assessment, clear explanations, and a treatment approach tailored specifically to you. I take the time to truly listen and understand your concerns, goals, and how your condition affects your daily life. Throughout the session, I regularly check in and adjust techniques based on your response and comfort. Education is always included, as my goal is not only to provide relief during the session, but to help you continue improving and supporting your body beyond the treatment room.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am most proud of the trust my patients place in me and the fact that many choose to return for continued care. I take pride in helping patients better understand their own bodies, so they feel more confident and informed about their health. Creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming treatment environment is very important to me. I also believe one of my greatest strengths is that I do not view my work as just a job — I genuinely try to see things from my patients’ perspectives and understand their experiences, concerns, and needs.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Patients should choose me if they are looking for thoughtful, individualized care rather than rushed treatments. I take the time to truly listen, understand the root of the issue, and tailor each session to the patient’s needs and goals. Education is an important part of my approach, as I believe patients feel most empowered when they understand their own bodies. My goal is not only to relieve pain, but to help patients move better, feel more confident in their recovery, and improve their overall quality of life.
