Mitalee Dalvi
I’m Mitalee Dalvi, a registered physiotherapist with a background in orthopaedics and pelvic health. I chose physiotherapy because I enjoy helping people understand their bodies and return to the activities that matter to them. Pelvic health drew me in because symptoms are often difficult to talk about, yet they can affect so much of daily life. Outside the clinic, I enjoy running, yoga, Pilates, dancing, and strength training.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I especially enjoy working with people who have persistent symptoms or have been told to simply live with them. That includes Shoulder, Ankle, Spine, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel concerns, prolapse, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and ongoing hip or back pain that may have a pelvic component. I also enjoy working with men experiencing pelvic pain or urinary symptoms. I like putting the pieces together and helping patients feel more confident about what they can do next.
What should I expect in your session?
We’ll start by talking about your symptoms, goals, and what you’ve already tried. I’ll explain the assessment and treatment options as we go, so you can ask questions and make informed choices. Depending on your concerns, we may look at movement, strength, breathing, and pelvic floor function. An internal pelvic assessment is only considered when appropriate and with your consent. Together, we’ll make a practical plan that fits your life.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I’m proud of creating a space where people feel comfortable discussing concerns they may never have spoken about before. I’m also proud of the breadth of my practice. My years of orthopaedic experience have allowed me to help people with spine, hip, and other musculoskeletal concerns, while my pelvic health training has helped me recognize when those concerns may be connected to pelvic symptoms. I enjoy bringing both perspectives together to help patients make sense of what they’re experiencing.
Why should patients choose you as their provider?
I bring more than a decade of physiotherapy experience in orthopaedics and pelvic health. Whether you’re coming in for back or hip pain, a sports injury, or a pelvic health concern, I’ll take the time to understand your goals and assess the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. I listen carefully, explain my reasoning, and work with you on a treatment plan that fits your life.
